TO RESIDE IN MONGOLIA AS AN INVESTOR

The state administration organization responsible for issues of foreign citizens has an authority to issue and extend permission for residence to a foreign citizen up to one year based upon the documents specified in Article 4.2 of this Procedure, authorization by the state administration organization responsible for foreign investment, and a contract of rent of an official work place.

8.2. The state administration organization responsible for foreign citizens has an authority to issue permission referred to in Article 8.1 of this Procedure. To extend the term of permission, it should review the status of tax payment by the foreign citizen and verify whether business activities is conducted by the business entity and if it is deemed necessary, survey whether its work place and investment have been actually come to the benefit of Mongolia.

8.3. The term of residence permission should be reduced or cancelled in the case that the investor has not run any business activities or evade the payment of taxes.

INVESTOR VISA /REQUIREMENTS/

  1. Investor card;
  2. Requested letter of the inviter;
  3. Copy of Certificate of state registration, Certificate of foreign incorporated company and special permission;
  1. Passport copy;
  2. Deposit account statement;
  3. Copy of inviting entity or organization’s Tax record;
  1. Office rent agreement;
  2. Originals and copies of marriage and birth certificates along with the translation in the case that a foreign citizen is accompanied by the family members.

Remark:

Upon arrival to the country, a foreign citizen must register at the Immigration of Mongolia within seven days of arrival. Get Residence card within 21 days after arrival in Mongolia. Officer Immigration of Mongolia has right to call foreigner for additional document or for an interview.

INVESTOR RESIDENCE

  1. Request letter of the inviter;
  2. Investor card, If the inviter is an organization, the original and copy of the state registration certificate of the organization;
  3. Special license copy;
  4. Copy of office rent agreement;
  5. Copy of inviting entity or organization’s Tax record;
  6. Proof of investment
  7. Address statement by Governor;
  1. 1 recent photo /3×4/;
  2. Passport with copy, application form;
  3. Originals and copies of marriage and birth certificates along with the translation in the case that a foreign citizen is accompanied by the family members;
  4. Applicant must register finger print at Immigration of Mongolia Headquarter. /Children under aged must bring 1 photo/

If applicant is not present itself it can be authorized by another person on behalf/with accreditation or work identification/.

MULTIPLE VISA

  1. Request letter of the inviter;
  2. Copy of Certificate of state registration, Certificate of foreign incorporated company and special permission;
  3. Passport copy;
  4. Agreement with inviter organization or reference letter;
  5. Copy of inviting entity or organization’s Tax record;

Remarks:

If applicant is not present itself it can be authorized by another person on behalf/with accreditation or work identification/.

VISA EXTENSION

  1. Request letter of the inviter;
  2. Copy of Certificate of state registration, Certificate of foreign incorporated company and special permission;
  3. Registration form /1000 tugrug/;
  4. 1 recent photo /3×4/;
  5. Passport copy including first and entry visa pages.

Remarks:

If applicant is not present itself it can be authorized by another person on behalf/with            accreditation or work identification/.

Officer Immigration of Mongolia has right to call foreigner for additional document or for an interview.

Visa will extend up to 30 days once in a six month.

PRIVATE INVITATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Cover letter
  2. Completed Invitation and grantee form
  3. Invitee’s home address (english translation)
  4. Copy of of the inviting’s identification card or passport
  5. Proof of financial support during invitee’s stay
  6. Copy of of passport pages clearly showing passport number, dates of issue, expiry, name and date of birth
  7. Passport valid for at least 12 months
  8. If inviting a family, Copy of of marriage and birth certificates, for all persons included in the application and accredited Mongolian translation
  9. An officer may ask for additional documents

TO RESIDE IN MONGOLIA FOR THE PURPOSE OF EMPLOYMENT

7.1. The state administration organization responsible for issues of foreign citizens has an authority to issue and extend permission for residence to a foreign citizen for the purpose of employment for the period of time up to one year based upon the documents indicated in Article 4.2 of this Procedure and the official letters of permission for employment from the central state administration organization in charge of employment and its authorized organization.

7.2. A foreign citizen specified in Articles 5.1.1 and 6.1 of this Procedure should run a business with the permission of the central state administration organization in charge of employment and its authorized organization.

WORKING VISA PERMISSION REQUIREMENTS /Type HG, O, SH visa/

  1. Cover letter
  2. Copy of of Certificate of state registration, Certificate of foreign incorporated company and special permission
  3. Work permit from Employment Service Center
  4. Copy of of passport pages clearly showing passport number, dates of issue, expiry, name and date of birth
  5. Passport valid for at least 12 months
  6. If applicant is coming with family, Copy of of marriage and birth certificates, for all persons included in the application and accredited Mongolian translation
  7. If applicant is not present him/herself, they can authorize another person to make the application on his/her behalf.  (provide  work or national identification)

TO RESIDE IN MONGOLIA FOR THE PURPOSE OF STUDIES

9.1. The issue of giving permission to foreign citizens of ages 16 and above to reside in Mongolia for a year for the purpose of studies, professional development, internship or conducting scientific research and studies in Mongolia and of extending the permission of stay shall be decided by the state administration organization responsible for issues of foreign citizens. Decision should be made on the basis of documents mentioned in Article 4.2 of this Procedure and an official note by the organization (organizations where the foreign citizen studies, interns, and conducts scientific research and studies).

9.2. The state administration organization responsible for issues of foreign citizens shall take into account the status of performance by the foreign citizen while extending the permission of residence indicated in Article 9.1 of this Procedure.

STUDY, RESEARCH AND TRAINEE VISA PERMISSION REQUIREMENTS /Type S visa/

  1. Cover letter
  2. Permit from Ministry of Education and Science
  3. Copy of of Certificate of state registration and special permission
  4. Copy of of passport pages clearly showing passport number, dates of issue, expiry, name and date of birth
  5. Passport valid for at least 12 months
  6. If applicant is not present him/herself, they can authorize another person to make the application on his/her behalf.  (provide  work or national identification)
  7. An officer may ask for additional documents

REGISTRATION

  1. Cover letter
  2. Completed Registration form
  3. A recent passport sized photograph (40mm-30mm), no more than six months old
  4. Copy of of passport pages clearly showing passport number, dates of issue, expiry, name and date of birth, the stamp by Mongolian authorities on your most recent entry to Mongolia and visa.

VISA TRANSFER
